About the Instructor
Dr. Amara Okonkwo is a board-certified internal medicine physician and clinical informatics specialist who has spent more than a decade building and leading virtual care programs. She is board certified in Clinical Informatics and holds a Master of Public Health with a focus on health systems and access.
As a telehealth medical director, Amara has helped clinics and health systems launch synchronous, asynchronous, and remote monitoring services, redesign clinical workflows, and meet privacy and reimbursement requirements. Her work focuses on making virtual care both high quality and equitable for patients who are often left behind by new technology.
